Matariki Art

This is my Martiriki art draft.we had to do quit a lot of drafts so we can get our good copy as good as we can.My legend is the seven houses there are spirits going up to live in the seven houses.at the bottom I also put the sea and angel wings.
Then we did blending with pastille.I did orange and red for the main bit of the sun.And then for the sunbeams  I did dark blue light blue and purple.For the sky I did green and light blue.
This is my good copy.I have done all the houses different colours.The  sky is all orange and red.I have  done two people the same colours as each other.I hope you all like my art work.

    Wow Maliesi, your art work is fantastic. You have thought carefully about how to represent your legend and your colours are vibrant and fantastic. Why was it important to have the houses different colours? From Mrs O.

    This is such good art of Matariki! It explains what legend you have chose and what the legend is sort of about. I like the way you blended your colours to make a outstanding result, but why did the sky have to be orange and red? Was it the time of day it was or was there more to the legend that I don't know about? From Eliala
