When the tide breaks many things can be revealed. Like a scroll full of things you would have never known. Like Mairah who found out something that she shouldn't have been told. An innocent walk on the beach can turn into something huge but someone so little can help it all. Many things have happened to Mariah but how could this one be so unique. A twist can go very far if you don't let it go. little words like this can change the world.soon the bombs will go off and this all will be mine. Including a little girl who can read all.



Birds above can sing so bright but how can that affect our light. When you walk though a forest you cant tell what can happen. But maybe the birds that sing away just know what can happen. When the light dies and the birds fly away you stay in the Forest all alone. next thing you know you are gone.you are now in a dark room where there is nowhere to run what would you do.





Animals are so beautiful but why aren't BLOB FISH.

Passion projet

Lately in Kahikatea we have been doing a task called passion project. I have formed a group with Rhanna and we have based our passion project around photography. We have decided that we are going to learn how to take great photos with the help of an expert. We have accomplished this with the help of a very nice expert called Jo she from a company called framed by Jo here's a link to her website if you want to check her out. Framed by Jo. since we went to see Jo we have practised taking photos here are some of our results.          

 Since we have taken these photos we have been organising a place to sell them.This was one of the most complicated part so far for it took a while for some of our places took awhile to reply. I remember Rhanna had emailed countdown and took a while to reply so Rhanna emailed centre city, They replied a day after accepting our request so we replied saying we would love to fund raise there then we got a reply from countdown  accepting our request. But it did take us a few weeks to get one email reply which put u in the pit because we had no idea what to do.But after that we decided to fund raise at countdown making $50 dollars to put towards the pink ribbon. The next day Rhanna left for america so now I was left to finish it all alone. I was determined to make more money so I seat up a business at home. I called all of my family members seeing if they wanted to buy anything from that i got an extra $78 dollars. That is how far i have really gotten so far but am hoping I will be capable of making some more money.    

The horrid accident

Has your life ever changed in a matter of seconds?

“Ugh mums so late it's like already 3:30.”

“We have to plan how to make mum feel bad when she gets here” Eliala said with an evil smirk.

“Yeah let’s do it i’m thinking something like do you know how embarrassing it is for your teacher to pull over and ask if we're ok” I said.

“Yeah thats  good one that will get her.”

Mum pulled up Eliala and I were getting ready to tell mum our plan when…

My heart dropped I saw our dog Meika in the back with blood surrounding her. I felt myself lose it as tears went down my face. I completely froze for a second. Then I felt myself run towards the car in complete panic.

I tried to ask mum what happened but I was just to shocked that I couldn't, I just  stayed quiet. I just petted Meikas golden thick fur looking at her skinless leg covered with blood .  The more I looked at it the more I cried. I could feel her shaking in fright I couldn't do anything but comfort her. I saw her face in fright I tried as hard as possible to help her but whatever I did seemed to make her worse. I could hear the faint noises of mum and Eliala but I ignored it.

All these thoughts were coming through my mind. What will happen to her? Will she die? Oh my gosh to deep you're gonna lose it a lot stop thinking about it. Even at a point I thought her leg would get amputated.

We skidded into the carpark of the vets we got out of the car and rushed into the door hoping Meika was ok.We ran into the vets room nearly out of breath. We couldn't believe what she said next

“Your dog has to be keep over night she will need a cone and a cast I would keep her from walks until you get the all clear.”

We just wanted to keep her safe but we did have to leave her.We got home and I called nan to tell her the news and oh no Eliala heard she cried because I was going to tell nan what happened to Meika  and she didn't even cry when we found out what actually happened, ( She makes no sense sometimes).

Panda information report

Pandas are animals that some of us love and know. They are cute animals, and they are so calm. Personally they are my favorite animal, so some of these facts you're about to learn put me in shock so have fun and get surprised.

Habitat-

Pandas are mostly found in mountainous regions of central China. In Sichuan, Shaanxi and gansu provinces. Like the Qin mountains and the Min mountains,  according to the national zoo. They like this area because it is cool and wet there and there is bamboo forests, perfect for pandas. This is where pandas are usually found.

Diet-

As we all know pandas mainly eat bamboo. 99% of a panda's diet is bamboo, but have you ever wondered what the other 1% of their diet is?  Well I have, I'm am here to answer that question. Well pandas eat a lot of bamboo because it contains very little nutritional value, so pandas must eat 12-38 kg every day to meet their needs. The other 1% of their diet is other plants and even meat (mostly bugs).

Weight/length

Female pandas normally weigh 90kg  when fully grown. Males pandas normally weigh 135kg fully grown. Female pandas height is mostly around 60-90cm long and Males are mostly 91.44 cm.

These black and white Bears are interesting to study and have lots of interseting features.

Art in kahikatea

In our classroom we have been doing art and shading,this is all about us learning new art skills and improving in our art. Every few weeks we will be shown a video on art skills like.

• How to hold a pencil
• Shading
• Outlining
• Taking shapes of objects to make art
• Drawing graffiti words
• Portraits
• Eye level

Using the skills that we learnt we had to make an art piece showing the skills we learnt, here's a picture of mine.

This week and last week we have been working on graffiti art and portraits, I decided to work on portraits. We started of by drawing a circle with a  t in the middle the by the sides of the circle we draw two more lines to get the shape of the face. Then we would draw the chin. Then the eyes and eye brows, nose , lips,ears, and lastly the hair. Here's a photo of my final result i think its pretty good.

My most recent work is this eye I drew it was hard to watch the video on it because it went so quick but I think I did good.

Girls tech challenge

At the moment our classroom has participated in a challenge known as the girls coding challenge.

Trough the girls coding challenge we go trough many obstacles.If you are wondering why we have too make an app to help our community.This is hard because we have to code desing search for awnsers and make the app ourselves.

We all have a group of four or three.In these teams we have more knowledge so we all work together to get and gather the things we need to make our app.Some people will do thee coding because it is one of their strengths.Others will do researching design or be a project manger if it is one of the things they think they will be good at.

People have decided to make an app on rubbish depression stress natraul distators and even the homeless.These apps are all very big and are going to be a challenge to make for all of us ops gotta go I've been called to work on my amazing research skills 

Depths of the sea

I held my breathe as I fell overboard I could see myself going deeper and deeper as the beautiful ocean  persuaded me to go deeper I swam deeper and deeper when... I was carried to the sea top and and realized I took a breath of fresh air as I coughed up sea water on the deck of the boat.

I went home and jumped on the computer filling my mind with “information what is this information you ask I will show you.Loook at this  and this

“Sunset have a shower now You stink” Felicia said (Sunsets big sister)

Sunset grabbed a zip lock bag and put her phone in it and went into the shower.She watched wassabi productions.Everybody loves the baby Dino Everybody loves the baby dino. She hopped out and dried her hair got dressed and went out for dinner.

I sat at the computer and started to research more my brain got stuck in till.”Bye mum bye dad”

There's no way i'm going to camp i'm going to diving lessons.

I walked into a dark salty dock I stepped onto a boat and drifted away my fear came back I was seeing my past I was drawn to the sea it called me I was about to  jump but it was like one part of me didn't want go The engine stopped I felt myself get pulled back and all of a sudden i'm in this heavy clump.I was weighed down by a wet suit.Next I now I'm listening to this boy talking to me telling me the rules of the sea.Splash I fall backwards into the I could breathe it was amazing.I swam the water drifted toward me I felt magical.But i swallowed a lot of water and felt really sick but it's the memory that I love.

It was the second week there when I had my worst experience ever…(My memory) I dove into the pitch darkness and my body instantly went deeper and deeper.I  felt like my spirit was free I had a lot of fun swimming with all kinds of fish.But then they all scattered away I tried to follow when ahhhh help ahhh. I got dragged back and my leg hurt misery it all ended and I closed  my eyes.

The next thing I'm in a hospital with my family all around.”What happened why am I in hospital”

You got awake honey you've been unconscious for a while now.”

“So you already know where I was” sunset said nervously.

“Yes of course we know but we're just happy you're alive”

“My Leg it’s gone ahhhhhhhhh”

I cried out of agent I finally got out of the hospital went home and lay on my bed in misery.Felicia came and supported me until…”FELICIA COME HERE RIGHT NOW” mum screamed at the top of her lungs.

“Coming I better go I'll see you again latter”

“Felicia your grades are terrible I'm afraid I'm going to have to send you Christchurch to get o some sense into you”

“Wait what no this can't be happening that on the other side of the island”

“I'm afraid so bye Felicia” Mum said crying

Felicia of packed her bags said her farewells and she's gone.

The next few years were really hard and I hadn't touched the water since.But that all changed today.I dove from the dock with my gear I didn't realize how hard it is to swim with one leg but I got the hang of it and went deeper.My old times came back to me I did flips and and twirled when I saw a shark in a net I was about to swim away but it looked so sad.I swam towards it and struggled to cut the net without hurting it I was stressed and confused on why I was doing this.I finally cut the net and it wouldn't stop following me I screams and swam quickly but it caught up and swung me on its back and swam that's when I realized it was thanking me.

I awoke and walked into pitch darkness I couldn't see properly I fell into deep sorrows.I Leander against a wall and tears fell down my face I walked and walked and walked until my eyes saw brightness I felt like I was walking on thin air.I drifted away my eyes closed I felt like I was fighting for my life. Aahhhhhhh. Breathing heavily.Oh phew that was just one heck of a dream.

I dove into blueness to investigate the life in the blue I studied for years and years to research I had never heard before.I had my ups and downs  but found my way to be a young scientist in my town.I saved animals until one day the air in my tank ran out.I was so deep down that it hard to get to the top I gasped for air and only just made it.Over time I grew older and my career ended.That's my story.
